Slate Calls Our custom slate calls are some of the best made we have Purple heart, Walnut, Cherry pots and Pennsylvania slate which is the best ever produced for making turkey calls most companies are using a cheap black slate bought in other countries which is a lower quality and does not have the same sound characteristics as the Pennsylvania Slate. We are in the heart of the slate belt Our Hot hen comes with a custom tuned striker in Cherry or Walnut. Our Dominator is a purple Heart Pot with a Lighting Strike Striker that will work in the rain or underwater.
Box Calls
We offer a complete line of box calls . we have black walnut, red cedar, poplar and cherry with a purple heart lid, and Mahogany We hand craft every box one at a time. We offer the classic series , Our classic series has a strutting gobbler engraved on the lid. and all have a mellow sound the sound that makes and ole tom melt when he hears it.
Signature Series Box Calls This series is dedicated to my Dad I would not have the knowledge of turkey calls or turkey hunting I have today without him. Turkey Hunting was his passion in his younger years he would hunt a week in the spring and fall. Due to health problems he can't get out like he used to. Our last hunt was with a good friend of mine Steve Thorson in Monroe County PA, Steve had one day to hunt and that was it We set up on a bird that was gobbling and started calling 4 jakes came in cutting and were to Steve's far left and he had to turn almost around to get a shot, Dad setup behind me to the left just to listen and watch what unfolded. When Steve took the shot the other birds scattered in all directions one landed real close to my Dad and he never even raised the gun. I learned a lot from him that day about just being there to hear the birds and watch them today as I get older I let more and more game walk past and just admire the moment and let it etch into my mind. I truly understand what he ment when I was 16 about sitting down and listening to me work a gobbler while he was a ridge away it was something his hunting companions would talk about after the morning hunt, I learned a lot from that group of turkey hunters and the style hunting they did. My Dad was diagnosed with cancer in December 2008 and had major surgery his health was not good at the time and he passed away March 25th 2009. I wanted to design a line of calls just for him.
Ed Noonan Series
We have been hunting with Ed Noonan for over 5 years Ed is an (Outdoor Writer and Professional Turkey Hunter) has 4 Grand Slams, a World Slam a Royal Slam and the Mexican slam and is working on the Canadian slam (needs one more bird) and his 5th Grand Slam these were mostly done with Wilson Turkey Calls. Ed has taken over 150 turkeys to date. Ed's knowledge of turkey hunting and calling speaks for itself when he ask to design a call Series for him we were excited at the chance to work with one of the best turkey hunters we know If it is Ed Noonan Series by Wilson Game Calls it is the best.
The Red Cedar half moon box call is a sweet seductive call that works great in the spring or fall I have used it on some call shy toms and have had great success with it. The Walnut has more Raspy Tones and the Maple Walnut produces some mellow sounds with a little rasp.
